This game may seem like Othello from its look but believe me it is nothing like Othello.
I first got to know about this game from a K-Drama, Reply 1988, and I was kinda awestruck that this kind if game exist and is a big thing in countries like China, Japan and Korea.
Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day.
Go is played on a grid of black lines (usually 19×19). Game pieces, called stones, are played on the lines' intersections.
The goal of the game of Go is to surround opponent's pieces to capture them by blocking all of the points or "liberties" that surround a group. Additionally, players surround areas for scoring at the end of the game as well. The game ends when both players pass because there are no longer any productive moves to make.

Fun fact:
Go was considered one of the four essential arts of the cultured aristocratic Chinese scholars in antiquity.
Despite its relatively simple rules, Go is very complex.
So would you like to try your hand at go?
wow nice post
