Top 3 Moments of Asian Games 2018

Last week asian games came to an end and to celebrate this years Asian Games let's check out the top 5 moment of Asian Games 2018 Jakarta:

1. The Bike-Rider President

The opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games started of with a skit starring President Joko Widodo on a Motorbike doing stunts in Jakarta Street. With the crowd cheering, he entered the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

This scene appeared to have taken inspiration from the Queen Elizabeth II's dramtic entrance from the 2012 London Olympics.

2. Two Koreas

Beside having participants from North Korea and South Korea separately, a joint team of unified Korea athletes participated in this year games. With an emotional final women's basketball match against China. From marching together in the opening and closing ceremony, the neighbours also formed a joint team and took part in canoeing and won a gold and two bronze medals. The Unified Korea Team was a resounding success in Jakarta.

3.The Flag Falling

China's Sun Yang victory celebration for the 200m freestyle swimming (Triple Olympic Champion's first gold of the games), was crashed(literally) when the flags of China and Japan came loose and crashed onto the ground as Sun was belting out the national anthem from the podium. After a delay, the ceremony began again and no one was harmed.

4.Stray Cat on the Track

On the opening day of the athletics competition something remarkable and memorable thing should always be there right? For the Asian Games it was a cat who stole the show when it unexpectedly appeared during the Women's 100m hurdle race.
